🏡 What you will see at Taltsy
Taltsy is not a single building but a whole open-air village. It has more than 40 historic wooden buildings and thousands of everyday objects from the 17th to 20th centuries. Everything was brought here from different parts of Siberia. Some of it was saved from flooding when hydropower stations were built on the Angara.
The museum is divided into three sectors, each telling the story of a different Siberian culture:
Between the sectors you will find wooden streets, a watermill, chapels, a small schoolhouse, and houses furnished with tools, clothes and household items. Depending on the season, you can also try:

The museum is open daily. Hours are longer in the warm season (March to October) and shorter in winter, so we confirm the schedule when you book.
It is an open-air site, so dress for the weather. Winter visits need warm layers and good boots.
Weekends are busier, but they often bring music, crafts and folk performances.
