There is nothing quite like this Traditional Siberian Fishing trip. You will have time to relax, as you spend your day fishing on the beautiful banks of the Angara River, remote and pristine. This 1,779 kilometer-long river serves as an outlet for Lake Baikal. The Angara is one of the few still pure waters in the world. There is something for all types and levels of anglers.
The fishing spot is located 90 km from Irkutsk on the picturesque bank of the Angara River, close to the village of Aleksandrovskoe. It is also possible to start the tour from Listvyanka village (160 km, a 2 hours drive).
Grayling is the main fish of the Angara and the subject of heightened interest of avid fishermen.
The fact that it is not easy to catch grayling makes fishing full of excitement. Besides, this kind of fish has tender, fat and very tasty white meat.
Fishing is carried out from the bank, during summer season, when fish comes closer to the banks. Our guide will provide you with all the necessary fishing gear and will teach you different techniques of successful fishing.
After the memorable fishing, you will have a rest in a Russian steam room (Banya) with birch bath brooms, which are the essential part of the Russian bath tradition. A bath broom is a fragrant bundle of leafy birch. It massages the body and helps to ease muscle after exercise and physical activity.
A cup of berry tea will await you after the banya.
