10-30 The journey begins with a scenic ferry ride from Listvyanka across Lake Baikal. Enjoy the fresh air and stunning views of the lake as you make your way to the starting point of the hike. We will visit the source of the Angara River, the only river flowing out of Lake Baikal. Learn about the unique ecosystem of the lake and the importance of the Angara River.
11-00 Hike along the well-maintained path of the Circum-Baikal Railway, also known as the “Golden Buckle of Russia.” The hike will take you to the first railway tunnel (approximately 4 km one way).
13-00 Enjoy a well-deserved lunch break amidst the beautiful scenery.
14-00 If time permits, we will ascend to a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of Lake Baikal and the surrounding landscape. Capture unforgettable photos and immerse yourself in the beauty of the region.
16-00 After a day of exploration, we will take a ferry back to Listvyanka.
