The Tchaikovsky Concert Hall
Young musicians will perform with the world-famous Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman.
According to the established tradition, the event will bring together promising musicians of a new generation who have never played together before. This project is truly unique: it allows the young musicians create the history of modern jazz. Over the past years, the Festival has presented Oleg Akkuratov, Kate Davis, Francesco Cafiso, Ivan Sherman, Mark Whitfield, A Boo, Russell Hall, Jake Labazzi, Julius Rodriguez, Philip Norris, Victoria Kaunova and many other young talented performers to the Moscow public.
Every year, in addition to their own projects, the participants of the “Future Jazz” present unique musical numbers on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall together with the People’s Artist of Russia Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra.
Igor Butman is rightfully considered the main ambassador of Russian jazz art on the world stage. In 1999, he founded his famous Moscow Jazz Orchestra, Quintet and Quartet, which for almost two decades have toured hundreds of cities around the world.
