The games of the Confederations Cup 2017 will come to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi from June 17 to July 2, 2017.
Moscow will host third place play-off. Saint Petersburg’s will play host to the opening and the closing match of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. Semi-final matches will be played in Kazan and Sochi on 28th and 29th June respectively.
The fans with a valid FAN-ID and tickets for any match of the Confederations Cup 2017 are to be allowed visa-free entry to Russia during the period of 72 hours before the date of the first match and till the day of the last of the last match of the championship.
The fans with a Fan ID will be able to make free use of urban transportation in the cities hosting World Cup matches.
Besides, each ticket holder with FAN-ID will be provided with train transportation free of charge on the long-distance trains connecting the cities-participants. When boarding additional trains, the passenger must present the ticket for the match, identity document (passport), and personalised FAN ID card. Additional trains will run between the cities in which matches are held from 15 June to 4 July 2017.
The FIFA Confederations Cup is an eight-team international tournament held every four years. The eight teams always include the reigning champions from the six FIFA confederations, the host nation, and the holders of the World Cup. The Confederations Cup is a dress rehearsal for nations hosting a World Cup the following year.
